Platform Security Engineer, NZ
Platform Security Engineer responsible for owning Partly's security posture and platform reliability. Role sits within the platform team reporting to the Platform Lead and works closely with SREs.
What you'll do
- Participate in SRE on-call rotation and manage security incidents
- Prepare for security audits and maintain continuous compliance via Vanta
- Harden infrastructure using least-privilege, RBAC, and network policies
- Run vulnerability scanning pipeline and lead vulnerability triage
- Implement security event monitoring and lead post-incident reviews
What they're looking for
- Experience in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE with security focus
- Hands-on Kubernetes security experience including RBAC and network policies
- Familiarity with at least one compliance framework like ISO 27001 or SOC 2
- Cloud security knowledge with GCP experience preferred
- Experience with IaC, Terraform, ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows
