Hardware Engineering Lead
Lead the hardware lifecycle for the CloudSpec spectrophotometer, owning design, development, testing and production. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role based in the Wellington office working across optics, mechanics and firmware.
What you'll do
- Design, prototype, test, and iterate hardware at the bench
- Own hardware lifecycle from design through production readiness
- Manage CAD environment and maintain design documentation
- Define and lead test-driven hardware development practices
- Lead procurement and manage external supplier relationships
What they're looking for
- 5+ years working with complex hardware or instrumentation products
- Systems engineering across hardware and firmware required
- Highly proficient in CAD, ideally Fusion 360 and SolidWorks
- Relevant tertiary engineering degree in related discipline
- Able to learn and apply UV-Vis spectroscopy and optics fundamentals
