Group Legal Counsel
Senior in-house lawyer role owning all legal matters for the group, focused on commercial, compliance and risk. Part of the executive team supporting the SaaS business and shaping the legal function.
What you'll do
- Own commercial contracting and negotiation across the group
- Manage contract compliance, disputes and breach responses
- Build templates, playbooks and self-serve legal resources
- Manage external counsel and corporate governance across jurisdictions
- Identify and mitigate legal risks including litigation and insurance matters
What they're looking for
- 5+ years PQE as stated
- Experience from top-tier NZ firm preferred
- Commercial and tech-sector experience, SaaS exposure ideal
- Active user of AI legal tools such as Claude or Spellbook
- Collaborative and business-engaged working style
